Do you require a deposit?

Yes, for hosted Karaoke, DJ services and equipment hire we require a 25% deposit to secure a booking. This can either be done over the phone or online by a credit card, or via a direct bank deposit. Please note, credit card payments incur a 1.6% surcharge.

We also require a security deposit for equipment “dry hire”, this is either $200, $500 or $1000 dependent on the equipment and where the event is held, cash or a confirmed bank deposit is preferred. This is refundable in full upon the return of the equipment in good working order.

What if I wish to cancel?

If you cancel 8 weeks prior to your booking, the full deposit is refundable. For cancellations within the 4 to 8 weeks range we retain 50% of the deposit. For cancellations under 4 weeks, deposits are non refundable. 

When is full payment due?

For hosted DJs and Karaoke shows we require full payment 5 business days before your function. For equipment hire, payment on the day of hire is fine.

How many hours are included for hosted karaoke and DJs?

From set up time which usually takes around two hours, there is a 6 hour 'show' period that incurs no extra cost, e.g. Arrive 4pm, set up for 2 hours,  6pm start to a 12pm finish and then a 1 hour pack up. However, if the hours extend beyond this, there is an additional $75 per hour charge. If this has not been arranged beforehand, it is payable on the night.

Can you do DJ and karaoke at the same time?

Yes, for many functions (weddings in particular) we will often play dinner music first, supply a wireless microphone for announcements, then play some dance music and then progress to a karaoke show. There is no extra charge for this.

Can you MC an event?

Yes we can, but there are certain caveats to this. For basic introductions etc. this is not a problem, however, if your requirements go beyond this, we do have specialised MCs that can help take your function to another level, please speak to us about what you require.

Can I choose my own music?

We very much wish for you to choose your own music. This allows us to create a personal musical experience that is unique to your event. With your event, you will find a song request list, just fill that out and send it back to us. We have over 50,000 songs in our current Karaoke library and have access to over 110m songs, via Tidal and Spotify.

Do I need to supply a meal and drink to the In-Ya-Face staff?

A meal and water/soft drinks must be provided to the host and/or technicians if the event exceeds 3 hours. Alcoholic beverages are optional, but at the end of the day they can’t drink much because they have to drive at the end of the show. 

I’m hiring some equipment, what happens if I don’t know how to use it?

All our equipment comes with a comprehensive user guide. If you’re still having problems please call us ASAP.

What happens if something breaks down?

Whilst we try our best to maintain equipment, from time to time we can get problems. For hosted Karaoke and DJ services we always carry backups so we can get the show rolling again. For hire equipment please call us ASAP for a solution.
